Henderson Middle Schoo Students/Alumnos
Henderson Middle School is committed to providing a strong academic background for students to be successful in High School and Beyond.
To achieve this goal we are committed to providing a rigorous curriculum and course offerings that will benefit the student not just in middle school. We offer several courses that will provide a student high school course credit.
Students at Henderson Will take the following courses for High School Credit 1. Spanish in 7th grade for .5 High School Foreign Language Credit 2. Spanish in 8th grade for .5 High School Foreign Language Credit 3. Keyboarding in 8th grade for .5 High School elective credit
Additional Courses and methods for High School Credit 1. Speech Communications in 7th grade for .5 High School elective credit 2. Speech Communications in 8th grade for .5 High School elective credit 3. Algebra in 8th grade for 1 High School Algebra credit (must meet district qualifications) 4. Pass an exam in Spanish and receive an additional year of High School Spanish credit
Starting with the 2006-2007 school year all Henderson Middle School students will leave with at least 1.5 High School credits and up to 4.5 credits towards the 24 credits required to complete high school.
